Across from the photo wall in the hallway is the linen closet. Like all spaces in the house I understand the importance of keeping it organized so that it functions properly.
The closet stays fairly organized. The bottom two shelves are full of kids art supplies and craft projects so those shelves can get a bit messy but it never takes more than a few minutes to get it back to the way I like it.
The middle shelf is full of beach towels. The overflow beach towels go on the shelf next to the medicine.
The upper medicine shelf is empty right now but I put a variety of stuff there. If we are getting ready for trip I often place the little “extras” for the trip there before I pack them.
You are probably thinking…where are the linens. I keep the extra pillows on the top shelf with the humidifier and all of the extra sheets are in the bedroom they belong in. Every bedroom has a different size bed so the sheets only work for one room anyway. What about the towels? The beach towels are the only towels I keep in the closet. The guest bath towels are kept in a cabinet in the guest bathroom and the extra towels for my bathroom are kept in the master bath. It works best for me to keep the supplies in the rooms that we will use them in. What about you? How do you organize your linen closet?
